Physical Therapist (School-based)



Aya Healthcare’s Education Services Division is currently interviewing for the following position: Physical Therapist in El Cajon, California.


Previous school-based experience providing services to students in Kingergarten through 12th grade is required for this role.

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating students with motor and/or sensory disabilities in addition to planning and implementing interventions so that these students may access the educational curriculum in the least restrictive environment.


Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Preparing, implementing, and evaluating an annual educational plan for each student based on individually assessed needs and in accordance with district procedures.
• Providing specialized physical therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational, social and emotional needs of the students.
• Participating on evaluation teams for exceptional education students as appropriate.
• Providing parents with suggestions for home techniques.
• Conferring with the classroom teacher as requested concerning any educational needs of the student.
• Completing appropriate reports for local, state, federal and educational agencies.



• Degree in Physical Therapy
• California State License
